 About Jagtial:-

Jagtial district is located in the northern region of the Indian state of Telangana. Before it was a revenue division in the Karimnagar district, which was 210 km away from Hyderabad, it is surrounded by Nizamabad, Nirmal, Mancherial, Peddapalli, and Karimnagar Districts, with Three revenue divisions at Jagtial and Metpalli. The district headquarters is located in Jagtial town. The Godavari River passes through the district. 

Famous Places to visit in Jagtial

Killa Fort Jagtial:



One such marvel is the Jagtial Fort in the Jagtial district. The establishment of the beautiful fort dates back to the 17th century. It is believed that two European engineers Tal and Jack conceptualized and built this fantastic star-shaped fort surrounded by water. Jagtial village has been the administrative center for hundreds of years. Mubari Jalamulk Zafardaula Mirza Ibrahim Khan, the ruler of Elagandula (Karimnagar) garden, built this fort in the village of Jagtial in AD. It was built in the year 1747. A star-shaped (*) construction of limestone under the supervision of a French engineer during Nizam's time covered an area of ​​about 20 acres. Large ramparts were established on all sides of the fort and around 90 cannons were installed to prevent the fort from being attacked. This fort of the past is still intact. Built by the enemy, this fort has deep trenches, separate rooms for soldiers, a dark room for storing cannons, wells, and tunnels for drinking water.

Clock Tower:-



Dharma Jelapathi Roa was built for the continuous rule of the 7th Nizam King “Mir Osman Ail Khan” in 1937. and now it is in the private hands. It is the center of attraction for Jagtial City. 


Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy Temple:-



The Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy Temple was very famous in northern Telangana. The story of the Temple was “ When lord Hanuman carrying the Sanjeevani Parvatham for Lakshmana who was injured in the war with the Ravana, One small piece of stone was fallen in that place now it is called as Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy Temple.


Sri Dubba Rajeshwara Swamy Temple:-



This temple of Lord Siva, in the form of Dubba Rajeshwara Swamy, is very famous in this part of the region. It is one of the oldest temples in the Jagtial District. Maha Shivaratri is the biggest festival at the temple. The story of this temple is very interesting “The place where the temple as there it is was completely covered with “Mound of Mub” in Lord Shiva has come out.”

Famous Food in Jagtial

Makka Gudalu:-



Makka Gudalu is the famous food in Jagtial. Generally, eat with meat and chicken soup, without this food the party was incomplete in Jagital.

The history of the Telangana Region is marked with bravery and sumptuousness. Marking great significance to the splendor are the many forts of this region. Each and every fort is unique in its own way and forms an important part of the country’s never-ending glory. One such marvel is the Jagtial Fort in the Jagtial district. The establishment of the beautiful fort dates back to the 17th century. It is believed that two European engineers Tal and Jack conceptualized and built this amazing star-shaped fort which is surrounded by water. And an interesting thing about this fort is that it got its name after these two engineers, Jag-jack and Tial-Tal. Standing out as a structure built by foreign builders, every inch of this unique fort bears a strong similarity to a European castle. Though most of this fort is now in ruins; its uniqueness still makes it an interesting site, attracting scores of visitors.


The construction materials that were used to build this fort were mainly lime and stones. A huge wooden gate guarded the fort. However, the gate is long gone due to the ravages of man and nature. However, tourists may not be disappointed as the fort still recalls its days of glory with the huge cannons that are scattered throughout the premises.

Sri Anjaneya Swamy vari Devasthanam is situated on a hill called Kondagattu Amidst of hills and forest aria at a distance 40 K.M. from Karimnagar and 16 K.M. from Jagityal. It is an ancient temple in Jagityal District state to have been coming in to existence at about 500 years above attracting a good No. of pilgrims. The presiding deity, Sri Anjaneya Swamy varu is said to be Swayambhoo as seen from the silasasana which is available on the external wall ao the main temple. It shows that parents of singam Balaiah i.e Singam Sanjeevudu and Ashamma from Kodimyal Village had Constructed a temple. Deity has given vara to the cow boy of sri S.Sanjeevudu in this forest regarding his were about and informed in Signs. Sri Venkateswara Swamy, Alwar, and Laxmi Ammavaru deities are situated at the left and right of main deity.


Sri Anjneya Swamy faced to the north side of the temple along with Narasimha Vaktram Amburilla and shankhu Chakra. The poojas and rituals are being perfumed to the deity in Chatada Sri Visnava Agama Sampradayam.



Another important event in this temple, Sri Anjaneya Swamy Temple Kondagattu’ in Karimnagar district is the most Popular ancient Hanuman Temple. The presiding deity Sri Anjaneya is believed as ‘Sanjeeva’ for the diseased, mentally retarded and for childless for progeny.

Water the basic resource of life is worshiped since time immemorial. Worshiping the deities with water Abhishekam. Lord Shiva incarnated as Sri Anjaneya. Here pilgrims perform Abhishekam to fulfill their vows and worship Kondagattu Anjaneya.



And Sri Anjaneya Swamy Vari diksha type of 11 days, 21 days 41 days. And Sri Swamy vari CHANDANAM taken from the left-hand bowl of Swamy varu is a good mahatyam and every devotee is having a staunch belief in the above Chandanam. The pilgrim visiting this temple must invariably take CHANDANAM AS PRASADAM.

Sri Anjeneya Swamy is held in high veneration and attracts thousands and thousands of pilgrims every day. Pilgrims not only from the Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh visit the temple but also far of places from Maharastra to fulfill their vows.

Dharmapuri is a village as well as a Mandal headquarters in the Karimnagar district of Telangana, India. This village earned spiritual importance because of the presence of the shrine, which is dedicated to the Lord Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The temple has two very different idols of the lord Narasimha Swamy. The oldest of these idols is called “pata Narasimha Swamy” which means the older Narasimha Swamy and the temple that was established later is called “kotha Narasimha Swamy” which means the new one.



The Dharmapuri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple is one of the most important settlements of Vedic Brahmins in the state. Every year in the months of March and April, devotees of the Lord come together to celebrate the famous Dharmapuri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Aalaya Jatara. The town, in the month of December, gets busy for the celebration of Mokshada Ekadashi.



A Brahmotsav is held after Holi each year. The temple also witnesses weddings of couples who wish to commence their life together with the blessing of the lord. Other Hindu festivals such as Bonalu, Dussera, etc are also celebrated here. Pilgrims generally perform ‘Satya Narayana Puja’ at this place.
